More About Blood Clotting

Thrombophilia is a blood clotting disorder in which the blood has a tendency to clot more than normal. People with thrombophilia have a higher risk for developing a potentially dangerous blood clot, called a venous thrombosis. Thrombophilia can be caused by changes in the factor V and prothrombin genes.
